Jack Okell is an Analyst at MHG. In this role, Jack is responsible for carrying out reconciliations of the premium and claims bordereaux as well as detailed analysis of the underlying data to provide better reporting both internally and externally to underwriters in the London market.
Jack came to MHG initially as part of the Isle of Man Governments STEP scheme. STEP is a programme operated each year by the Government to place Manx undergraduates into local businesses to undertake project based tasks during the summer holidays. Jack was studying Mathematics, Statistics and Physics at Lancaster University in England when he came to us. We were so impressed with the work he produced that we had to make him an offer he couldn’t refuse! Jack joined MHG in 2016 as a Trainee and was later promoted to Analyst, the position he holds today.
Jack is a long-distance runner and regularly competes internationally, including representing the Isle of Man in the biennial Island Games. He was also the youngest ever member to be elected onto the Isle of Man Astronomical Society Committee, a position he held for three years.
